Processing Grief

In this episode, I sat down with my dad, David Ouzts, and talked with him about the recent passing of his mother, my grandmother, Mary Maxine Ouzts. We discussed our feelings, how we are grieving, and how our outlook on life, death, and eternity has changed through that process.
Grief has a way of bringing clarity to our outlooks on life. Grief often causes us to ask ourselves questions that we never do in our normal day-to-day. It causes us to be more cognizant of what life is really about and how do we fit in it. Who you are grieving also plays a big role in our feelings and emotions. When grieving a loved one or friend, we often feel the emptiness and futility of life. But, here at L.I.F.E., we try to filter our emotions, thoughts, and desires, through God's word. He helps us deal with our mortal thoughts and gives us hope in the midst of such grief. We believe that God is faithful and comforts our hearts and walks through the pain with us. He quiets the sea of our emotions while taking us by the hand, in faith, and calms the storms. I hope you enjoy this episode and that it helps you through any tough times you are going through.
